Taxpayer Assistance Program

A program of Cuyahoga County Treasurer

This program gives seniors age 67 and older up to $10,000 to help pay taxes they owe. You must make less than $70,000 per year. The program also requires you to get housing counseling.

Who can use it: You must be age 67 or older. You must owe taxes. You must make less than $70,000 per year. Your main home must be in Cuyahoga County, and you must own it by yourself or with someone else.
Languages: English on-site. Other languages by phone.
What to expect: You apply online. Staff are available Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. There is no fee to apply.
