A program of Chn Housing Partners
A housing counselor will work with you and your landlord or lender to help with rent or mortgage payments. The program can also help you find utility assistance and give you financial counseling. Up to $1,500 in assistance may be available. Families with school-aged children may get help accessing low-cost computers (computers are not currently available).

- Who can use it
- You must have at least one child under 18 or in school living with you. You must have had a sudden hardship in the last 3 months, such as loss of income, medical or dental bills, or an unexpected major repair or purchase (vehicle, stove, fridge, furnace, or water heater). You must have income or subsidies to pay ongoing rent costs. If you have already been evicted, you must have already found a new place to live to get financial help.

- What to expect
- You will complete an eligibility checker on the website, then submit a full application with required documents. A housing counselor will call you to confirm you qualify, arrange payment to your landlord, and connect you with other help. Applications open on the 1st Monday of each month at 8:00am (or the following Tuesday if that Monday is a holiday). The program takes 50 new applications per month.
