Cuyahoga County Options For Independent Living

A program of Cuyahoga County Division Of Senior And Adult Services

This program helps you get services you need to live at home. Services include rides to medical appointments, personal care help, meal delivery, housekeeping, laundry, and help with chores. They can also make small changes to your bathroom for safety. You can pick one service or combine several services.

Who can use it
You can use this if you are 60 or older and frail, or you are 18 to 59 with a disability. You must live in a private home or apartment in Cuyahoga County - not in a group home, assisted living, or nursing home. You must need help with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, or cooking. Your income must be below 300% of the federal poverty level. You cannot be eligible for any Medicaid waiver program.

You can apply for just one service, but they may tell you about other services you could get too. There is a long waiting list - new people can only join when someone leaves the program.
