Consumer Protection - Complaints

A program of Cuyahoga County Department Of Consumer Affairs

This office investigates consumer scams and unfair business practices. They help people who lost money or information to scams. They try to solve problems between you and a business, including issues with debt collectors, home repairs, car sales, pricing, and warranties. If needed, they can report the problem to the prosecutor, attorney general, or other agencies.

You can use this service if you or the business involved has an address in Cuyahoga County. If you are a tenant with a landlord problem, they can help. If you are a landlord with a tenant problem, contact your city's housing court instead.
